Building Blessing

A fundraising campaign for our future home

Our Campaign

We’re looking to move to a new location and expect it to cost about $800,000 with a target move-in during 2026.

From the very beginning, God has been faithful to our church, and we have seen Him move powerfully as lives are transformed and our community continues to grow.

Over the next few weeks, we invite every individual and every family to pray and seek how God may be calling you to participate in this next chapter through your pledge. Together, with hearts of unity and generosity, we trust that God will provide all we need. Let’s believe, build, and prepare a place that will bless generations to come.

Why Now?

Capacity and Weekly Setup Limits

Our Sunday services are quickly reaching capacity, and the weekly setup/teardown required across multiple rented spaces places a heavy load on our volunteers and staff. As our church grows, these logistical constraints limit our ability to focus on what matters most—discipleship, relationships, and ministry.

Safety & Expansion for Family Ministries

Our children and youth ministries are spread across several buildings in downtown Carrollton, creating challenges for families and limiting our ability to offer safe, dedicated, and accessible environments. A single, unified building would allow us to design classrooms and spaces that better support discipleship, safety, and the flourishing of the next generation.

Plaza Arts Center Condition & Uncertain Future

Plaza Arts Center has been a meaningful and memorable home, but its aging infrastructure and uncertain future make it difficult to plan for long-term ministry. Frequent HVAC and electrical issues create instability, and ongoing zoning concerns make our continued use of the space far from guaranteed. For the sake of our church’s future, we need a more reliable home.

Consistent Ministry, Mid-week Gatherings, Broader Impact

A permanent building would remove the logistical barriers that limit our ministry today. Conferences, trainings, mid-week gatherings, and small-group discipleship could all happen under one roof—expanding our capacity to serve our church family and increasing our impact on our community throughout the week, not just on Sundays.

What Your Gift Supports

Purchase or long‑term lease

Our building committee has carefully evaluated both purchasing a property and securing a long-term lease for our future church home. In our review, we considered key factors such as initial financial investment, renovation costs, and the timeline required to occupy a new space. While we remain open to purchasing if the right opportunity arises, current market conditions present more viable options for long-term leases that better align with our needs at this time. Your faithful giving will help provide the upfront resources required to secure and prepare our next space—whether through a lease or a purchase.

FF&E, A/V, and initial move‑in needs

The soft costs for our future space include essential FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment), audio and visual systems, acoustic treatments, signage, décor, and other foundational needs. Your generosity will enable us to complete these critical elements and create a warm, welcoming, and functional environment for our church family and guests.

Design and build‑out for worship, kids, and community spaces

We are actively exploring commercial flex spaces that can be transformed into a true home for our church family. The ideal space will include ample parking, a spacious high-ceiling worship hall, dedicated rooms for TBC Kids and Youth, a large fellowship hall, offices, a conference room, and essential support areas such as restrooms and storage. Because church facilities require specialized environments, we anticipate engaging in space planning, interior design, city permitting, and a full renovation process. This will likely include demolition, upgraded HVAC and electrical systems, fire and life-safety improvements, and the construction of all ministry spaces. Your generous gift will directly support these efforts—helping us create a safe, functional, and welcoming environment where our church can worship, grow, and serve together.

How We’ll Get There

Every gift plays a part in reaching our $800,000 goal. This scale shows how we can get there together.

FAQs

  • Raising funds is not a quick process. We want to give the church body time to give over a period of time rather than rushing to fund raise upon acquiring a building.

  • Our current focus is on finding a suitable lease that would last us 5-10 years, but we are also considering purchase options if financially viable and wise.

  • A pledge is a prayerful commitment you make to support the building campaign over the length of the campaign. It’s not about pressure or obligation—it’s about participating in what God is doing at TBC and giving as He leads you. It’s not a contract or legal obligation but gives us a clear picture of our collective capacity and allows us to pursue construction and financing decisions with confidence.

  • Our tithes and offerings are used to support the ongoing ministry of our church—covering missions, ministry needs, staff, and operations throughout the year. While we do have savings, those funds are set aside for emergency needs and long-term stability. Because a building purchase is a significant one-time investment, we are creating a dedicated fund specifically for this campaign so that our regular ministry can continue uninterrupted.

  • That's okay! We believe that God cares more about the heart of the giver. In Mark 12:41-44, Jesus honored the widow over those who gave out of their wealth because of the way she desired to honor God in her giving. The New Testament also teaches us the importance of the cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” We hope you don’t feel forced to or reluctant to give, not compulsively, but thoughtfully and prayerfully - and most importantly, cheerfully — trusting what God is doing through this church.
